There are several steps to getting a web site. The steps below are the typical steps needed for most web sites.
1. Get a domain
What is a domain name?
A domain name is your web site address. They usually end with .com, .net, or a country code such as .ca. Example domains would be: myname.com, OR manicanet.com
Do I need a domain?
A domain name is not required. Some web hosts will host your web site using their domain. This is not recommended because a domain name is very cheap and it looks a lot more professional.

How much does it cost?
There are lots of sites that allow you to get a domain name. The cost varies but it is usually under $20/year depending on the type of domain name.
How do I get one
You need to check if your desired domain name is available. If it is, you register the name. You can choose to register if for 1 or more years.
We can do this for you. We include this as part of our web hosting. You simply tell us which domain(s) you want and pay the registration fee and we will register it for you.
2. Design your web site
You need to design what your web site will look like. Unless you know how to create web pages and are creative, it is a good idea to hire a web designer to design your web site.
ManicaNet offers template based web site design for all new web hosting accounts. We charge a $500 dollars to implement the basic design of your site which include the first year of shared hosting. We also offer custom web site design for an additional fee.
3. Find a web host
You need to find a company that will host your web site. You can read our what is hosting page to learn more about hosting.
We offer several packages and options for web hosting. This is our specialty. We focus on quality and secure hosting all while providing the best possible customer service. Our hosting is fully managed which means you don't have to worry about your web site because we will take care of all the hosting configuration and maintenance.
4. Build your web site
Once you have a design, you need to build the site by entering all the content of your site. Most companies hire a web developer to do this.
As part of our hosting, we install a Content Management System that will allow you to put your own data into your own web site whether you know web programming or not. This is included for free with all our web hosting packages.
5. Hire an administrator
This is not always required, but it is usually a good idea to hire an IT administrator or a IT consultant to ensure your web hosting account is properly setup.
This is not necessary with our hosting packages as we fully manage our clients' web hosting accounts and ensure they are setup optimally.
